Whether you’re looking for a romantic date night activity or something to do with the whole family, don’t miss ‘The Drive In’ at Troubadour Meridian Water, Enfield. As one of the top things to do in London this season, you can enjoy a retro movie experience and watch your favourite flicks on the big screen. Interested? Let’s find out more.

What’s ‘The Drive In’ All About?

At The Drive In, which shows the top drive-in movies in London, you park up and watch the movie of your choice from the comfort of your own car or the allocated space beside it. As all vehicles are spaced at least two metres apart, attending a drive-in movie screening complies with all the latest social distancing guidelines set out by the government. The film is projected onto a huge outdoor screen that can be viewed from all angles, so there’s no need to battle for the very front parking space. And sound is broadcast directly to your car via your FM radio. This means you can turn the volume as high or low as you please.

Do I Need A Car?

The obvious answer might be yes, but you might be surprised to hear that in fact you don’t need a car to enjoy a day at The Drive In.

Not only has The Drive In partnered with Zipcar to make getting to the cinema experience hassle-free, but parking bays are now being sold to cyclists and pedestrians! When you book, simply select the ‘car free bay’ option and rock up in groups of up to 5. During these more safety cautious and socially-distanced times, the people you come with must be from your own household or from the same social ‘bubble’. You can bring your own chairs and a portable FM radio, or purchase or rent one from The Drive In when you arrive. You can order these at thedrivein.london/order. Please also obey social distancing rules by staying in your allocated space.
