The Drive in cinema London has something for everyone – including the little ones – so here’s a rundown of what’s showing during the school holidays.

The Greatest Showman (PG)

Get October off to a great start with a trip to see The Greatest Showman starring Hugh Jackman. Inspired by the imagination of P.T. Barnum, this movie tells the tale of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a show that became a worldwide sensation. Featuring an epic soundtrack with hits such as ‘This Is Me’ and a memorable cast including the Bearded Lady Lettie Lutz, a performing dwarf and Anne Wheeler, a pink-haired trapeze artist, this movie will have you hooked from start to finish.

Onward (U)

Onward tells the beautiful and enchanting tale of two elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, who get the unexpected chance to spend one final day with their late dad. But when a magic spell brings back just their dad’s legs, can they find that extra dash of magic needed to enjoy the perfect day? Expect plenty of spells, cryptic maps, impossible obstacles and plenty of adventure aboard Barley’s epic van, Guinevere!

Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (U)

Showing on October 31st, this is a top choice for the Halloween weekend. When Drac and his monster family board a luxury cruise ship away from their hotel, all runs smoothly – until Drac falls head-over-heels for the mysterious cruise ship captain, Erika. The issue? Erika has a dark secret and is actually a member of the famous monster-hunting family, the Van Helsing’s! And she’s on a mission to take Dracula down. Will their dream holiday turn into a nightmare?

Hocus Pocus

Another spooktacular movie playing during the October half term is timeless classic Hocus Pocus. When new kid on the block, Max, lights the Black Flame Candle in a sinister abandoned property, the Sanderson sisters are resurrected to cause havoc in Salem for the first time in 300 years. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy as the trio of gruesome witches, Hocus Pocus is packed with spooky spells, awesome costumes, black cats and chilling tunes. Who will save the town from the witches’ grasp?

100% Wolf

Freddy Lupin is heir to a proud family line of werewolves. He’s positive he’ll become the most fearsome werewolf ever. But his plans don’t quite go to plan when his first ‘warfing’ goes awry, turning him into a ferocious – poodle. D’oh! A brand new 2020 animation ideal for the whole family, 100% Wolf is a perfect half term treat.
